Welcome back! Today, I will be going over my favorite Standard deck, Arcanine!

Note: I haven't updated the deck since May, so don't fill the comments with "yOu ferGOT reSEt STamP"

4 Custom Catcher (LOT 171)
2 Fire Crystal (UNB 173)
1 Power Plant (UNB 183)
2 Red's Challenge (UNB 184)
1 Choice Helmet (LOT 169)
This deck honestly isn't the greatest. In the current Standard format, there is no way to search out Growlithes or Arcanines, asides from Red's Challenge (interferes with Welder) and Pokemon Communication (doesn't work well in a deck with only 8 Pokemon). If only they reprinted Ultra Ball and Nest Ball...
The game plan is simple. Try to go first. Draw through your deck with cards like Acro Bike, Judge's Whistle, Welder and Heat Factory Prism Star. By the time you draw an Arcanine from the deck, you should have a Growlithe that's either powered up with Fire Energy or about to be powered up. Use Choice Helmet or Buff Padding to make Arcanine even tougher and use a Grand Flame to power up a new Arcanine or Heat Tackle for big attacks. Fire Energy and important cards can be searched with Fiery Flint (Energy), Red's Challenge (anything), and Green's Exploration (Trainers). You can also recover Energy using Fire Crystal.

Conclusion
This deck is the one I've had the most fun playing, but it's also not that great. If you want a simple deck, this is for you to play. You can also add Reset Stamp. Great Catcher recently came out, and that is a good replacement to Custom Catcher.
